The Healthy Child Care America (HCCA) program is coordinated by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Early Education and Child Care Initiatives (the Section on Early Education and Child Care) , and is partly funded by the Child Care Bureau (CCB), Office of Family Assistance (OFA), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, HRSA, US Department of Health & Human Services.
Staff are available to answer your questions. However, please visit Partner Organizations first to see if contacting another organization may be more appropriate.
The Academy does not have practicing pediatricians on staff to respond to parental requests regarding individual medical conditions or questions about the Academy's policies and statements. Your best resource for this information is your pediatrician. If you do not have a pediatrician, you may find a pediatrician on the AAP Web site or you may contact the physician referral service at your local hospital or county medical society. You may also find answers to your questions by visiting Frequently Asked Questions found under the" Families" section of this Web site.
